Recalibration in The Division is a process that allows you to modify your existing Gear. Weapons CAN be recalibrated since patch 1.3 July 2016. Recalibration is unlocked in the Tech Wing upgrade Recalibration, which makes the Stat Switch Perk available. Once unlocked, you may visit the Recalibration Station in the Tech Wing to effectively re-roll a stat in your equipment.

Weapon Recalibration

  1. Patch 1.3 adds ability to recalibrate one of your Weapon Talents at the recalibration bench. Some talents are locked to specific weapon class meaning you can not get Sniper's Coolheaded for automatic weapons for example. Anyway, weapon recalibration is  very useful when using 4-piece AlphaLink gearset, because identical talents on both weapons do not stack.
  2. Every weapon can only be recalibrated x(7 or 10 maybe) number of times.
  3. During recalibration you are given 3 random talent choices and a choice to keep current talent.
  4. Recalibrating a weapon talent requires Weapon Kits and Division Credits.  Hi-End weapons use Phoenix Credits instead of Division Credits .
  5. Weapon Kits can be acquired through drops in the game or crafted by using 4 purchasable blueprints (Weapon Parts, Tools, Fabrics, Electronics). Crafting a Weapon Kit costs golden materials.

Gear Recalibration

  1. The Recalibration station allows you to modify the bonuses and Attributes of your Gear.
  2. In exchange for division credits currency, you will be able to change one property of a gear piece with another random* property. *Choose one of 3 randomly generated properties or keep the current one.  Check complete list of gear properties here (lvl 182 values).
  3. Once an item has been recalibrated, only the modified property can be changed again, at a higher cost with each try.
  4. The costs for recalibration are higher for better quality gear. High end gear recalibration no longer requires Phoenix Credits.
  5. First recalibration gives the highest numbers. Only in rare occasions next recalibrations give higher numbers than 1st. If you are looking for main stats, better pick the highest from the 1st recalibration. Recalibrate more than once if you want to get specific Major or Minor attribute... or get rich and pay to win.
  6. Every gear piece since patch 1.3 has a set number of mod slots that can't be recalibrated. This change only affects gear that drops after patch 1.3. Holsters will now always have all three attributes.
