Stats in The Division help determine the effectiveness of the player in combat. Stats are broken down into 3 main categories: Firearms, Stamina and Electronics. You gain XP by completing Missions, killing Enemies, discovering new Locations, and giving citizens spare items. You gain levels at certain XP values and your character's level determines the Weapons and Gear that you can equip. The attributes of the Gear you equip then determine your values in the 3 primary stats of Firearms, Stamina and Electronics. This defines the classless system of the game, meaning you can swap gear in and out to suit the situation and the role you would like to take on. Swapping out your Abilities further adds to this, meaning every player can easily shift from offensive to supportive roles if needed.

Stats

Firearms

Improving this Stat will increase your overall damage with Weapons. Those wishing to improve their DPS will want to find and equip gear with this Stat bonus.

Stamina

This is the player's health pool. The more Stamina a player has, the more hits he/she can take before being downed. If you plan on being on the front lines, this is a good Stat to take.

Electronics

This Stat dictates the overall effectiveness of the player's Skills. The higher this Stat the more effective they become. Those wishing to have a support role, will focus on this Stat.

Leveling

You gain XP by completing Missions, killing Enemies, discovering new Locations, and giving citizens spare items. You gain levels at certain XP values and your character's level determines the Weapons and Gear that you can equip. The attributes of the Gear you equip then determine your values in the 3 primary stats of Firearms, Stamina and Electronics.

Does anyone know how to check hiw many rounds you have fired in the game? I found it by mistake and cant find it again

I have not been able to find any info on attribute caps, but here's what I've experienced in game. I hope someone does some deeper digging..I have a little over 3,300 Firearms attribute, yet my character sheet only lists me as having 2,900. Additionally the details state my firearms damage is increased by 2,900%. This of course leads me to thinking there is a cap. Lowering my Firearms stat by about 100 (removing a gear mod) doesn't affect the 2,900, nor does it decrease my sheet DPS. However it does affect my weapons damage (damage of each round) under the weapon info. So anyone know if there's a cap or not?
