Submachine Guns in The Division are one of 6 types of Weapons the player can use. They are vicious at close range and boast the highest RPM of any Weapon class in the game. They are effective in both hip and aim fire and typically feature low recoil, making sustained fire at close range a true advantage. They are not very effective at long range. They can be upgraded with Optics, Magazines, Underbarrels and Muzzles and you can change the Skin of the Weapon to customize its appearance.
