DPS in The Division is a Stat that reflects your damage per second and is calculated from your Firearms stat as well as the base DPS of the Weapon you have equipped.
DPS Information
Your final DPS stat is a combination of the weapon's base DPS plus the DPS that is calculated from your Firearms stat.
- A weapon's DPS is calculated as such: weapons damage · mag size · RPM / 60 - weapons damage · RPM · reload time / 60

DPS is combined from both bullet dmg, rate of fire and magazine size.This is not a true dps calucation, and you should not rate a weapon on its dps value.Instead you look at the damage and rate of fire and make your own calculation.
